How to cancel a policy & how to request a refund
We want each and everyone of are many customers to be 100 % satisfied with the type and level of Gap Insurance cover that they have purchased. However, from time to time we all change our minds .
To protect you and as part of Aequitas Automotive Ltd's commitment to continued customer care and in accordance with current FSA and government regulations regarding the sale of insurance products you have the right to cancel any policy you have purchased.
You may have already heard of this right being referred to a “cooling off period”. What it simply means is that should you purchase a policy and change your mind for what ever reason you are entitled to ask for the policy to be cancelled and a full refund given.
This cancellation / cooling off period lasts for 14days from the date of policy purchase. Any policy cancelled after this period does not have any redemtion value.
In the unlikely event of this happening, and providing you have not attempted to make a claim, you would of course have a full refund. In this event any gap insurance cover and benefits would automatically cease.
Should you wish to cancel your policy please inform us in writing where possible using recorded or registered mail. ( we are not responsible for any lost or mislaid post) You can also use the email link to inform us. A copy of your cancellation request is then automatically sent to both us and the directly to the administrators.
At such time a member of Aequitas Automotive Ltd's trading as easygap.co.uk customer care department will then contact you to confirm receipt and a full refund be made directly from the administrator within 28 days.
This cancellation right does not affect your statutory rights in any way.
