How can I pay?

Why are your prices so much cheaper than my local dealerships?

o I have to have Gap Insurance? No it is not a legal requirement to have gap insurance. It is totally your choice and please do not let anyone tell you otherwise. It can never be made a condition of sale. No finance company can ever make it a condition of acceptance either.

The dealership has given me a discount do I put the list price in the invoice price box or the price I paid? We would kindly ask you to enter the cost price of the car you paid as it appears on the invoice. Your dealership will have split the cost of the car into sections to ensure that the road fund license is paid and the the correct amount of vat is allowed. The invoice price is the amount that you are paying for the vehicle after any discounts but before any part exchange or deposit. An invoice can be confusing to look at, if you are in any doubt please call 0800 195 4926 where we will be only too happy to assist you.

Who underwrites your policies? Easy Gap policies purchased before 1st January 2017
are underwritten by UK General on behalf of Ageas. Easy Gap policies purchased after 1st January 2017 are underwritten by AM Trust International Ltd, who carry an 'A' credit rating.

Which policy is best for me? This will depend upon you and your circumstances and what exactly you want your gap insurance policy to do for you when your vehicle is written off.

Can I pay over the telephone? Yes you can. You can contact our customer services team on 0800 195 4926. They will need to run through some  legal requirements but they can then provide you with a quotation and take payment using the latest secure payment facilities online. You will be pleased to know that we never keep or make a permanent note of any personal information or banking details.

My Dealer said that if I buy online I will not get the same type of cover? 
When you buy from a dealership they will have to be regulated in some way to sell insurance products just like us. Depending upon the level of cover you choose to buy from EasyGap you may in fact be getting a superior level of cover. Most dealerships will only offer one or two levels of Gap Insurance. These are traditionally Finance Gap and Combination Return to Invoice Gap Insurance. We can offer these policies but unlike any dealership we are aware of,  you can opt for the newest and now most popular level of Gap Insurance - Vehicle Replacement Insurance. My Dealership said there would be problems if I needed to claim! There should be no difference in making a claim from a policy you have purchased from EasyGap and your dealership. Just like us your dealership does not actually provide the insurance themselves. The Gap Insurance would not be underwritten (provided by) by ABC motors. They would use an insurance administrator and an insurance company. They are, like us, explaining the benefits of Gap Insurance. If you buy from a dealership you will be given a policy document and list of key facts usually by post. With our system your full policy documents are emailed to you automatically usually within 30 minutes of buying the policy. Our primary business is not to sell cars, instead we are an online Gap Insurance Company who have many years of experience. We have many happy customers and with your support will have many more. In fact we pride ourselves in the levels of customer care both we, the administrators and the insurance company provide and genuinely believe it to be market leading.

Can I have Vehicle Replacement on a Contract Hire Car? No unfortunately not. You would not be eligible for Vehicle Replacement Insurance as you would not own the vehicle ultimately. You could however take advantage of Finance Gap Insurance. This type of gap insurance would pay the outstanding rentals/finance settlement should the vehicle be written off leaving you free to find another car.

Are the any age restrictions on Gap Insurance? No there is no age restrictions on Gap Insurance, unlike car insurance where your age, the type of car and its insurance group is taken into consideration. Whether you are 18 or 80, there are no restrictions on Gap Insurance as long as the other policy terms are met.

Can I transfer my policy to another car? Yes there are certain types of cover that you can transfer to another car. This usually only applies to combination return to invoice gap insurance and vehicle replacement gap insurance. You can confirm this by calling 0800 195 4926 or reading through the terms and conditions of your policy. There is a £35 administration charge for transferring your policy which is payable only when and if you transfer your policy. There is absolutely no extra charge for putting the facility on your policy and you only pay if you use it.

Please note that you can not transfer you policy or policy benefits to another person or policy holder under any circumstances.
