First top news story from today comes from a report from MotorTrader.com that confirms that of the nearly 470,000 new vehicles registered for the new '66' plate in September an eye-watering 100,000 were registered in a single day in the last week of the month.

Dealers reported the biggest single month losses in 2016 for August, with the average site losing £15,000. However the figures still out performed 2015 according to AM Online.

The new Mazda MX-5 RF prices and specs have been revealed in Autocar. The eagerly anticipated version of the ever popular roadster is bound to create a stir in the local Mazda dealers.

Motoring bodies including the AA, the RAC Foundation and Brake have all called for the drink/drive limit to be reduced from 80mg to 50mg to curb driving deaths. They also say over 75% of the public would support such a move. - BusinessCar
