A new Vauxhall Insignia VXR

Vauxhall have released a number of images of the new face lifted Insignia VXR Super Sport model. The new model is officially set to make its public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show within the next couple of weeks.

An interesting quote by Vauxhall is that the new Vauxhall Insignia model will be the fastest car available for under £30,000. The new Insignia model will have a total of 321 bhp oozing out of the turbocharged V6 engine and a top speed of 170mph. The car will also reach the 0-60mph in approximately 5.9 seconds.

The new Vauxhall model has undertook a very subtle face lift since the model was previously released in April. One noticeable change would be to the front bumper as it has been likened to that of the sabre tooth tiger.

Vauxhall have one of the most impressive market shares in the UK market with the successful Corsa and Astra models. However, the US based company are facing a battle to take the larger share and top the UK sales charts due to the unfortunate success and popularity of the latest Fiesta and Focus models at Ford.

The Ford Fiesta model has kept the next best selling external rival in the form of the Corsa, from reaching the top spot. The Fiesta has been on top of the charts since mid way through 2012 and has only faced close competition with the Focus model.

The new Insignia will not directly rival the likes of the Fiesta and the Focus but the technology fitted on the other hand, is a different question. The new Vauxhall model will have the standard 8inch touchscreen infontainment system centred on the dashboard which will have the ability to adjust both the handling and the ride of the model. The new Vauxhall Insignia model will join the likes of the Range Rover and the new Peugeot model at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
