The Seat Leon Cupra R
September 25, 2013
Pictures of the Seat Leon Cupra R have been spotted across the internet for the first time.

The spy pictures indicate that Seat has kept to it's word in evaluating an all wheel drive 300 brake horsepower Seat Leon CUpra R as the performance flagship model for the brand new Leon line up.

The Leon model would have a highly tuned 300 brake horsepower adaption of the new EA888 engine that is featured in the Volkswagen Golf GTI's that is joined up to an all wheel drive dual clutch DSG gearbox. A 0-62 miles per hour time that is close to 5 seconds has been suggested by sources, a top speed of over 155 miles per hour has also been hinted at.

Sources indicate that other features of the Seat Cupra R prototype include a special Cupra driving mode that can sharpen up a driving experience significantly and launch control.

A subtle bodykit, lowered sport suspension and quad exhausts are expected aswell for the Seat Leon Cupra R as is a new sporty interior trim and sports seats. There are allegedly three and five door versions of the Seat Leon Cupra R being planned.

Rumours across the internet suggest that the Seat Leon Cupra R will be officially launching next year.

Meanwhile in the Seat Leon line up, the Seat Leon ST estate is in line for four wheel drive from next year, though it has not been decided whether it will be offered in the United Kingdom.
