The new Ford Ecosport 1.0 you either love it or hate it
July 28, 2014

As the old saying goes for 'Marmite' you either love it or you hate it. We believe that proves to be the case once more for the latest addition to the Ford line up... the Ecosport 1.0 Ecoboost model. This SUV mixed with a Fiesta design from the American group is intended to be some top flight competition for the likes of the Juke and Qashqai from Nissan. With the SUV market on a high right now it could take a sharp bite to help beat the competition. Does this Ecosport pack a lot of punch though ?. Well as far as equipment and special features are concerned...not entirely no. Body and layout design in our opinion looks quite smart but it varies on your tastes. You will either love everything about this vehicle or you just wont it really is that simple. This car will be the model below the Kuga line up which will see the Ford Edge arrive next year and top the SUV range.

What sort of features does the Ford Ecosport benefit from ?

So in regards to what this car is like on the inside, we firstly take a look into the overall power side of things and the engine which comes fitted with this vehicle. We firstly see the use of a 999cc,three cylinder turbo charged engine. This particular fitting helps the vehicle reach an overall top speed of 112 miles per hour. With that being said, we see this particular model make the leap from 0 to 62 miles per hour in a general time of 12.7 seconds. Overall we see 123 brake horse power produced from the Ecosport. As standard a five speed manual transmission system also comes along with the Ecosport although,a six speed, power shift dual clutch, automatic transmission system will join the line up next year.

An extra one thousand pounds can be spent on upgrading to the Titanium X trim which adds additional equipment such as a fully leather interior,17 inch alloy wheels and cruise control also. The likes of the Captur from French car firm Renault could be considered to lock horns with the Ecosport model along side other vehicles from companies such as Citroen also.

To buy this car brand new, you're looking at a total cost of £15,995. We can also inform you that the purchase on the Ecosport can be made right now from Ford dealerships on European markets and across other countries also.
