The new Kia Venga MPV to be unveiled this week
September 29, 2014

The Paris motor show is just mere days away as on Thursday we get underway with some of the biggest reveals and future vehicles to grace us with their presence. In the past the build up to the event has proven to be just as exciting as the event itself and this year is certainly no different. We have seen some great vehicles go on display ahead of the show and today we are pleased to report on another model which comes to you in the shape of a new revised MPV model from the Kia brand and is the updated Venga for 2015. This MPV is a vehicle that has been available on the market since 2009 and shares the same driving platform as the Hyundai i20 and the Kia Soul. From the platform alone, the Venga has proven to be a good all round driving experience and for the new model for 2015, Kia have included some brand new changes to the exterior and interior of the car aswell as a list of optional extras that will also come as part of the package.

What changes take affect with the new Kia Venga?

The majority of changes for the new Venga come with the exterior design of the car and this is certainly demonstrated on the new model for 2015 by the additions of LED daytime running lights, LED light clusters, brand new alloy wheels, a redesigned front bumper and a brand new chrome trim is also included with next years addition to the range. The interior of the cabin has also received some changes which sees a new metal trim and seating patterns included.

As far as the engine range for the new Venga is concerned, the previous 1.4 litre diesel unit remains unchanged but C02 emissions have been a key focal point. We now see the unit develop 114g/km. This is all thanks to the brand new addition of stop start technology. The optional pieces of equipment to come along with the vehicle may prove to be those features that have you purchasing a new Venga next year. We see that as options features such as a heated steering wheel, a brand new navigation system, a rear view camera and a seven inch screen are all great selling points. The Venga has been a key city car on the market for the Kia brand over the years and has proven to be a city car that can go head to head with some top top sellers in the sector like the Toyota Yaris and the Citigo from Skoda. We believe that given the upgrades on emissions and the extra pieces of kit to come along with the car, this new Venga model could be the key seller that the Korean manufacturer have been looking for.

When will we see the Kia Venga go on sale?

It has been confirmed that the brand new Kia Venga model will go on sale early on into next year. As far as a purchase price to come along with the car is concerned, nothing has been announced as of yet but this is expected to come in at around £13,000 with it to be confirmed shortly after the Paris motor show.
