Suzuki GSX test rides-Yamaha three wheel concepts-Superbike champion retires
March 25, 2015

We all know the Yamaha brand for bringing us some of the worlds finest motorcycles which include the likes of the R1 and the R6. One thing we have not seen from the company before though is a three wheeler design and that is exactly what the company have now delivered upon with their new concept designs revealed this week. The new concept models have been given the names of 'O3GEN-F' and '03GENx'. The F model has been confirmed to operate in similar fashion to some of their scooter models in a twist and go format. It packs a Silver body design with a Black seat and a Black front screen. Two wheels are located at both right and left sides of the front end of the concept with the one wheel placed in the centre of the back end of the concept. No confirmation has been given as to whether this model would make it onto the production line as of yet.

The x version however looks more like it would be ready for a launch into production but again not confirmed for the moment. The x version is much darker than its sibling packing a Black frame with White mudguards and two slim tyres at the front end and the one at the back. The tyre design of this model looks more designed for off roading capabilities. When we think of three wheeler models, the Canam brand have one of the best reputations for these models but Yamaha could still be quite some distance away from matching the ability that Canam models have.

World Superbike champion hangs up the leathers

Former three time World Superbike champion Troy Bayliss has announced that he is officially retiring from the sport of motorcycle racing once and for all. Troy Bayliss looked to take to the tracks one more time and he did so over the past number of weeks in the Superbike World Championship in Philip Island Australia and in Thailand last weekend. This would turn out to be the last time he races a motorcycle after a long and storied career. Unlike the Moto GP season, the World Superbikes hold two rounds per country which works out at two races per session. In Australia he managed to place both 13th in the first race and 16th in the second. He did however do better last weekend in Thailand as he achieved 8th position and 11th. Bayliss riding for Ducati over the past two weekends was outclassed by younger racers on the circuit who he now says he will leave the future to.
