The new BMW Alpina B3 Biturbo announced ahead of Geneva

The first details of the new BMW Alpina B3 Biturbo  have been revealed ahead of it's official Geneva Motor show unveiling, the car which is based on the BMW 3 series uses a 6 cylinder 335i engine as the base. Though, the two turbochargers boost the cars power to 404 brake horsepower, which is a rather significant improvement on the BMW's 306 bhp. This equals results of 0-62 miles per hour in just 4.2 seconds and it's claimed top speed is 190 miles per hour. 

The b3 model still retains a rather impressive economy level, despite it's performance, with CO2 emissions of 177g and a claimed economy average of 37.2mpg. The new model will be available in both estate and saloon bodystyles, though BMW have not yet revealed the full extent of the styling modifications. Teaser shots that have been released over the internet show a low front bumper and a more pronounced spoiler at the boot. It has also been revealed that the Alpina B3 will be getting a twin pipe exhaust and 20 inch alloys. 

The car will also include the Alpina sport suspension system and an eight speed automatic gearbox. The interior equipment levels and styling have yet to be revealed, though it has been said that this model will provide the bespoke service that is offered throughout all of it's models. 

Prices in the United Kingdom have yet to be confirmed, though they are expected to be starting from around £56,000. The car is available to be ordered now and delivered are expected to be starting in July of this year.
