The new Kia Ceed-Hyundai's new hybrid-A new battery for the Nissan Leaf
June 3, 2015

There is no arguing with the amount of success that the Nissan brand have had with their Leaf electric vehicle over the years as it has become one of the best selling EV models on the market here in the United Kingdom and across other countries world wide also. Over the recent months, there has been speculation about the next generation model which it is expected that the Japanese firm are currently working on right now. However the updates for the current model appear to not be over yet. Word has gotten out this week that the current Leaf could very well be getting an next generation battery very soon. The news is that the new battery would be a 30 Kwh battery which means that the overall travelling distance from the car from a single charge would be upped to around the 105 miles area. Nissan have not yet commented on the new battery or when we can expect to see it become available but with the new Leaf in the works for a launch next year, we would expect to see the new battery introduced sometime before the end of this year.

Hyundai introducing a new hybrid model

Hyundai have been spied testing a new hybrid model which has been spotted on the road but heavily disguised. Hyundai refuse to comment on the new model which has already been seen twice before but this is what appears to be the near final product. It is expected that Hyundai's new model will go head to head with the Prius from Toyota and in order to match with the competition, a PHEV version of the car would also be expected to be offered to customers. Information is very scarce right now and with the coverings and silence from the brand, we are still none the wiser on what specifications are going to be coming along with the new car or even when the vehicle will go on sale. Could the Prius be dethroned by this new model though?.

The all new Kia Ceed is leaked online

Kia have officially had their brand new Ceed model leaked ahead of time. Pictures of the forthcoming, next generation of Ceed were leaked online revealing what we can expect from the next addition into the range. There is not a huge amount of changes to look at it but it is clear that the brand have made some revisions to the car. Changes seen from the picture reveal that the fog lights have decreased in size and the front bumper also receives some tweaking. Around the air intakes also receives a chrome finish. The car was shown in a Metallic Red paint scheme but we would expect that other colours will be available from launch also. Engines and specifications for the car have not been confirmed by the Korean car brand as of yet but we would expect to find the very same diesel and petrol engines that hold a place in the current model aswell as a turbocharged setup for the top of the range GT model.
