1,000 jobs are said to be created in the UK as Infiniti confirm a very lot of money is going to be invested into the Country. Their new hatchback will be loosely based on the concept car the Infiniti Etherea, which is said to be aimed towards the youth of tomorrow. It is in fact going to be created in the UK, at the award winning Nissan Sunderland factory, around 2015. The Subaru WRX ST-i previously known as the Impreza model will be no more on the roads of the U.K. due to the sincere lack of demand. Nissan's Sunderland plant is set to build the new Infiniti compact car leading to a £250m investment in the plant creating 280 direct jobs at the plant and a further 100 new jobs in connection.   The new Infiniti model will be based on the front-drive platform provided by Mercedes, which is already in use on their own A and B class models. Production is set to begin in 2015, which coincidently is the same year the new Vauxhall Astra will be built in Ellesmere Port. The number of cars sold last year was 118,868 and in just the 11 months since the firm has sold over 128,978 cars eclipsing last years figures.   The month of November seemed to be a record month for most with Ford announcing record sales rates for November due to Super storm Sandy and the number of new cars sold in the U.K was also up on previous years. The annual Car of the Year finalists have been announced this week, the original list of 32 has now been cut down to the final eight contenders. The cars have all been launched within the past twelve months and will no go head to head on March 4th 2013 for the coveted prise. Investindustrial, have only recently purchased 37.5% of Aston Martin for a cool £150million. Following this recent investment, the British Sports car manufacturers have been linked with Mercedes Benz performance arm, AMG.   AMG currently produce engines, gearboxes and other electrical products and already have history with the Italian private equity firm, Investindustrial. A woman who is suing her ex-boyfriend, her City and United Airlines has been issued around $100,000 in parking tickets because her $600 car was abandoned in an airport car park, whilst still registered in her name. Jennifer Fitzgerald who is from Chicago claimed that her boyfriend had abandoned her car at the O'Hare airport and had 678 tickets, which totalled $105,761.80, issued to her over the last three years.
