Hyundai have sold six million cars to European customers since the company began sales in 1977. American recalls seem to be a popular occurrence at the moment, with General Motors in the middle of multiple recalls with one being a 2.3 million vehicle recall for a faulty ignition switch and Ford Motor Co issuing two new recalls for about 435,000 vehicles.   The first Ford recall   The largest recall issued impacts 386,000 Escape SUVs built between 2001 and 2004. General Motors (GM) has been in the news recently for their recent spate of recalls, mainly for their ignition switch recall which has resulted in around 12 deaths and 31 accidents. The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) has been launched in the UK in an effort to improve road safety through a variety of measures. The Agency incorporates the Driving Standards Agency and the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency and should, it is hoped, be more efficient than it's predecessors as it “further explores ways of providing innovative, convenient services”. French manufacturers Citroen will showcase the potential of their new China-only DS 5LS sedan with the R concept car, a performance version which is set to be revealed at the upcoming 2014 Beijing Motor Show.   What powers the new Citroen DS 5LS R?   The new model will be powered by a 1.6 litre turbocharged petrol engine capable of producing 300 brake horse power and 400Nm of torque.
