A man has admitted that he stole a woman's car when she came to a stop at traffic lights in a village in Dumfries and Galloway in the South of Scotland. The offence was carried out in October of 2011 by Liam McMeechan, who is 19. A court were told that the female driver, who was 67 had suffered disgusting injuries as she was pulled from her vehicle and then thrown onto the ground.  Kenneth Ross, Sheriff, has told McMeechan that he should be expecting to serve substantial time in jail and he has called for background reports. Renault have recently reported a larger operating profit than they first expected as it looked to eliminate debt and stay above water in terms of finances in 2012. Like many other mass market manufacturers, Renault were forced to increase the price of their models at the beginning of 2012 and therefore had to create large amounts of discounts in order to turn over a profit.   Mazda operated in the same way and also recorded a profit for the year having increased the amount on discounts. Despite deliveries not starting for another month, Vauxhall have taken over 4,000 orders for the new Adam model, which is said to rival the MINI. In the year of the centenary for the British firm Aston Martin, they look to release the James Bond famed model in the new Vanquish Volante. According to a recent survey carried out by the Future Drive Motor Show most people dream of owning an Aston Martin car, than any other. British car manufacturers prove to be the most popular with four cars making the top ten list of the most desirable cars in the world. It has been said that almost £23 Million worth of parking tickets could have been issued unlawfully to motorists in London. An investigation recently showed that a ticket from 2010 which was issued in Camden London was not actually enforceable by law, this was due to the fact the Council did not actually have the authorisation for the signs which displayed the regulations.
