Sixteen year olds are now legally allowed to drive car like quadricycles on our UK roads as pan European Legislation now comes into play. Starting last week the old moped category has been added to with new categories allowing sixteen year olds to also drive as well as ride. So long as the vehicles don't come in at more than 350kg, sixteen year olds can use smallish three wheelers and even light quadricycles. These cars can only reach a top speed of 28 miles per hour. Volkswagen set record high sales figures for 2012 The Volkswagen group as a whole sold just over 9 million cars last year, indicating an increase of 11% from 2011. These record sales were announced by the Volkswagen group and not just the base brand.   Like many other manufacturers, Volkswagen saw sales rise in North America, but it did so by a dramatic amount of 26%. Enthusiasts of the herbal kind in Colorado and Washington welcomed a victory with open arms last November, when voters passed measures which allowed for the recreational use of marijuana. Aston Martin have celebrated it's centenary year with the absolutely unbelievable and fascinating stunt of lifting a Vanquish onto the top of Dubai's Burj A1 Arab hotel, a flying car stunt if you will.  The helipad which is on top of the hotel is around 1000 feet above sea level and it is also the very first time that a vehicle has been put on the helipad.  Rolls-Royce has confirmed the new launch of the Rolls Royce Wraith. The new Rolls Royce is expected to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show on 5 March 2013. It will not however be expected to be with prospective new car owners until just before the end of the year. UK Car Exports Set Record High Despite the Slump in the EU 2012 for many, has been the year sales figures have deteriorated due to the current state of the European market. The Korean car manufacturing giant Hyundai has been named the preferred supplier for British Police cars by the Nation Association of Police Fleet Managers. The process, which has been going on for two years has awarded Hyundai with this status. This allows all Police Forces within the UK to purchase Hyundai vans and cars and is also suspected to give the company a share of 7,800 vehicles, which will be purchased on a yearly basis for police work, outside of London.
