We want each and every one of our many customers to be 100% satisfied with the type and level of Easy Gap Insurance cover that they have purchased. However, from time to time we all change our minds. We are human beings after all.
To protect you and as part of Aequitas Automotive Ltd's commitment to continued customer care and in accordance with current FCA and government regulations regarding the sale of insurance products, you have the right to cancel any policy you have purchased providing you have not attempted to make a claim.
You may have already heard of this right being referred to as a “cooling off period”.
What it simply means is that should you purchase a policy and change your mind within the cooling off period for what ever reason, you are entitled to ask for the policy to be cancelled and a full refund given. (again on the assumption, that you have not attempted to make a claim)
We have extended our cancellation / cooling off period to last for 30 days from the date of policy purchase.
In the unlikely event of you changing your mind and providing you have not attempted to make a claim, you would of course have a full refund. In this event, any gap insurance cover and benefits would automatically cease. After 30 days you still have the option to cancel, but instead of a full refund you would be entitled to a pro rata refund for the remaining period. Please read your policy documents for full terms and conditions.
Should you wish to cancel your policy please inform us in writing where possible using recorded or registered mail (we are not responsible for any lost or mislaid post). Alternatively, you can contact us on 0151 647 7556 or 0800 195 4926.
Please remember that only the policy holder can cancel an insurance policy so we will need to have authorisation from them before we can action any cancellation or refund.
At such time a member of Aequitas Automotive Ltd's trading as easygap.co.uk customer care department will then contact you to confirm receipt and a full refund be made directly from the administrator within 28 days. (this is to allow for weekends, bank holidays etc)
